Setting up an ExpressPass Station begins with connecting all of the hardware components. Followed by that, next step is loading badge stock.
Loading Badge Stock:
The next step is to load badge stock into the printer.
All paper badge stock has a black band along one edge. Use this marker as the starting point to load badge stock.
With the black band facing-down, feed badge stock into the back of the printer.
• BEFORE FEEDING BADGE STOCK: Make sure the printer you’re using is
set as default printer – right click the printer & click “Set as Default Printer,”
there should be a green checkmark).
To ensure you select the correct printer, delete all of the current printer copies before turning on the printer. After turning the Epson on the current Epson will be your default.
Right click the default printer and select "Printing Preferences". This is where you will ensure that the correct badge stock settings are in place for your show.
• Double check that the correct stock type is selected.
- Media Layout: There is a drop-down menu to choose from
Select "ok" twice as the window below pop up.
-Make sure the Media Detection is set to Continuous page (black mark)
• If using paper butterfly stock, choose Die-cut Label (Gap)
o Make sure to click Rotate 180 found under the "Options" tab.
• With the backing of the badge stock facing the ground, feed badge stock through
the top slot on the back of the printer. If printer is on, the badge stock will
automatically feed through once the stock has been fed through the back far
enough for printer to sense.
• Click start, then devices and printers on the side, right click on desired printer
under “Printers and Faxes,” click “Printer Properties.”
• Under the “General” tab, click “Print Test Page” on the bottom right.
• The test page will have a lot of text but should print on one full pieces of badge
stock, and cut once print is complete.
• Move Printing Vertically/Horizontally
o Under Preferences>Options around the middle you can adjust the printing
vertically or horizontally.
o Vertical: the higher the number will move it up, the lower the number will
move it down.
o Horizontal: the higher the number will move it left, the lower the number
will move it right
