Locate the box containing your TrackPod™ devices on your shipment and unpack them. For each device you will have the following pieces:

  • Zebra TC57 mobile computer
  • Battery (1x)
  • Charging Cradle
  • Charging cradle Cable
Note: this can be 3x pieces; 3-prong wall plug cord, adapter brick, and cradle cable

For safety when shipping the batteries should be removed from the device, you will need to install the battery for each device before charging. Seat the bottom of the battery first and press in until you hear the release buttons click and re-set. Make sure to line up the connection points before seating the battery:

Once the Battery is Installed, setup the charging cradle and plug into a grounded power source. Seat the TC57 device into the front slot of the cradle. A green light in the top right indicates a full charge, an orange light indicates the battery is charging.

Once the device is charged, remove it from the cradle and power it on by pressing and holding the power button on the top right of the device. You will see the device power on and open to the lock screen. There is no device password, swipe up to open.

After the device is open, locate the TrackPod™ App and launch the app, sign in and select your session. To scan a badge, aim the integrated scanner towards the barcode on the badge.
Note: The scanner is on the top of the device in the center:

To engage the scanner, press the trigger button on the side of the device.
Note: There is a button on either side of the device for both right and left hand use. Either button will work to engage the scanner.
