Installing LeadPod Pro (Android 15 Troubleshooting Guide)

Currently, there is a known issue with newer iterations of Android - specifically, Android 15 - which prevents the LeadPod Pro app from being downloaded from the Google Play store.

While our development staff are working to create a solution for our customers, a specialized method of installing the app, known as sideloading, will allow a user to manually install the LeadPod Pro APK (Android Package Kit) and, consequently, the app.

To sideload the LeadPod Pro APK on Android 15, follow these customized instructions:

1. Enable Unknown Sources for LeadPod Pro

Because Android 15 blocks app installations from outside of the Google Play Store by default, you must allow the installation of the LeadPod Pro APK.

• Open Settings: On your Android device, go to Settings
• Security or Privacy: Scroll down and tap on Security or Privacy, depending on your device model
• Install Unknown Apps: Search for "unknown" in the settings search bar, or manually find the Install unknown apps option
• Choose your App Source: Select the app from which you’ll download the LeadPod Pro APK (such as your web browser or a file manager like Files or Google Drive)
• Enable Installation: Toggle the switch to Allow from this source for the selected app. This will allow the installation of APK files, including LeadPod Pro

2. Download the LeadPod Pro APK

• Download: Open the browser and navigate to https://assets.expologic.com/lpp-18.apk to download the LeadPod Pro APK
• Save: Download the LeadPod Pro APK to your device. It will likely be saved in the Downloads folder, or another location depending on your setup

3. Install LeadPod Pro APK

• Open File Manager: Navigate to the folder where you saved the LeadPod Pro APK file (usually in Downloads)
• Tap on the APK: Find the LeadPod Pro APK file and tap it to start the installation process
• Confirm Installation: You will see a prompt asking whether you want to install the app. Tap Install

4. Review Permissions for LeadPod Pro

• The installer will ask you to review the permissions LeadPod Pro requires. Go through the list of permissions, and if you trust the app, tap Allow or Accept

5. Launch LeadPod Pro

• Once installation is complete, tap Open to launch LeadPod Pro immediately, or find the app in your app drawer
